Why Species Have Different Adaptations
Tawny Frogmouth & Thorny Devil
The two very different species have gained different adaptations reflects on the environment they live in. The Tawny frogmouth lives in open forests and woodlands where as the Thorny Devil lives in harsh dry deserts. So naturally the thorny devil would have adapted to drink water more efficiently and the Tawny Frogmouth adapting to camouflage from predators during the day.

The Tawny Frogmouth does not live in a dry environment that wouldn't allow them to have lots of access to water. where as the Thorny devil has limited access so they needed to adapted in order to survive.
Any two organism that live in different environments with different a-biotic factors affecting their survival will naturally adapted differently. For example a frog wouldn't have the same adaptations as a bird due to their completely different species, environment and threats. |
